Let’s open up the study titled “Listen Adult” and take a look!

As you scroll down you’ll see the curriculum is organized into volumes. Each volume contains four sessions. Tap on a volume to open it.

There are six readings in each session—one for every day of the week, plus one day off.

The first session is always a group session, meant to be read together with your small group. It sets up the theme for the week.

The next five readings are personal devotions, meant for you and your group members to read on your own.

Start using this study by tapping the button titled “Start Plan”.

 Bible

The Bible is just what it sounds like! The entire Bible is available to you at a moment’s notice.

To navigate to a particular book or chapter, tap the Table of Contents icon in the top left corner of the screen.

You can also navigate in the Bible by typing a verse into the text field at the top of the screen.

Finally, select the small Bible icon in the top right corner to toggle between English and Spanish translations of the Bible.

 Notes

Notes contains all the notes you make in the app, and they are only visible to you. There are three ways to take a note:

1. When you select text in the curriculum or Bible, you’ll see a menu with the option to attach a note to the selected text.

2. The curriculum contains question and answer prompts. All of your responses to these questions will be stored here as notes.

3. You can tap the New Note button in the top right corner of the screen to take a new note.

 Community

Community is one of the most important parts of Bible Engagement Project! This is an in-app messaging feature which provides opportunities to build relationships and create community around discipleship.

Everyone who has access to the app in your church can stay connected with message boards where they can leave encouraging messages, post prayer requests, and have conversations around what they are studying together. So, any messages or comments left here, on your church’s primary message group, will be visible to anyone you invite to have access to your subscription.

There is also the option to create private sub-groups for each of your small groups. This is completely optional, but it provides an opportunity for each of your small groups to build community in a smaller online setting, without broadcasting everything to the entire church group.

If this option interests you, make sure to watch the video titled, “How to create private sub-groups in the app”.

 Settings

Settings contains a few important items for you to be aware of.

First, you can set the size of the text in your curriculum and Bible use the slider labeled “Text Size”.

Second, you can change the language of the app by tapping on the item labeled “Language”.

Note that this will not change the language of the curriculum or Bible. If your church is subscribed to the Spanish + English version of Bible Engagement Project, you’ll find Spanish versions of the curriculum in the Library tab. You’ll also be able to use a Spanish translation of the Bible by tapping the Bible icon in the top right corner of your Bible.
