Step 3: How to invite others to access the Bible Engagement Project library
Before you begin inviting others, you’ll need to decide if you are wanting to create private sub-groups. Sub-groups help your small groups stay connected with message boards where they can leave encouraging thoughts, post prayer requests, and have conversations around what they’re studying—all outside of the larger church group. If you’d like to know more about this optional feature, make sure to check out the next video, “How to create private sub-groups in the app,” where we walk through how to first create sub-groups before inviting others to the app.
Step 1
Navigate to your small group
Open the app and tap on the Community tab in the bottom navigation.
Towards the top of this screen, make sure the name of your primary church group is selected.

The final step is to choose the “access level” you want to assign to the person you’re inviting to the app. To do this, tap “Invite As” near the top. There are 3 different access levels to choose from—Members, Moderators, and Admins.
Members can access the curriculum but don’t have permissions to invite others.
Moderators and Admins can both invite people to the app, but only Admins have access to certain account settings.
There are several ways to invite people, so choose the option that’s most convenient for you.
QR code: Simply have the person you’re inviting open their phone’s camera, point it at the QR code, and then tap the web link that appears.
Copy the invitation: Tap “Copy” to copy the invitation. You can paste and send the invitation in an email, text, or other messaging app.
Share: Tap “Share” to send the invite using your phone’s sharing options.
Online Access
After someone has downloaded the app and set up their account with the link you provide them, they can also access the curriculum library online by visiting BibleEngagementProject.com and selecting “Login” in the top right corner. Simply login with the same email and password used when logging into the app.
This will give them access to each curriculum, where they can download and print the session content, stream the session videos, and access any additional resources used in the session.
Next Steps
In the last step, we’ll walk through the process of customizing the Community section by creating private sub-groups for each of your small groups. Remember, this is an optional feature available to you within the app.
