In this session, we read a story of incredible significance regarding the forgiving nature of God. It is through His mercy that lives are transformed. In this Bible story, Jesus was teaching at the temple when a group of religious leaders brought a woman caught in adultery to Him. But because of Jesus’ kindness and mercy, this woman was able to walk away a free woman, not just free from her accusers, but also free to move away from her past sin. How many of us have needed Jesus to forgive us? No matter what it is we have done, Jesus offers us undeserved mercy and expects us to pursue a life without sin while encouraging others to do the same.
