When we think of giving, we often assess the value by only looking at the size of the gift. Jesus surprised people by praising a widow’s simple gift at the temple. Jesus noted that her small gift was generous because it was likely all she had. Giving generously isn’t limited to only those who can give the most valuable gift. It’s about giving from the heart even when it’s not easy to do so.
