Following victory at the Red Sea, God wanted to show His people, the Israelites, how He would provide for them daily. He didn’t give them freedom with the intention of leaving them on their own. He wanted to walk with His people again. Providing daily food for the trip to their new home was one more way He showed His people how He cared for them.
