We live in a world of celebrity worship. We tend to idolize anyone who’s an influencer on social media, an all-star athlete, or a star in movies. In some ways, they’re like gods to some people. They follow them on social media, want to meet them, and would give anything to be known by them. This is somewhat like what Paul and Barnabas experienced in Lystra. After a man who couldn’t walk was healed during their ministry, people immediately thought of them as gods to be worshipped. Take notice of how Paul and Barnabas responded by challenging wrong thinking with God’s truth.
