Jesus defeated death. He is alive and appeared to the disciples in several situations. Thomas was naturally skeptical because he hadn’t had an encounter with the risen Jesus. Jesus showed up and showed Thomas the scars on His hands and in His side. Jesus is alive. His resurrection proves that He is God and we can trust Him.
