Today’s session will look at a passage in Acts 2 that helps us understand the values and the purpose of the Early Church. Everything they did was to fulfill God’s mission. In his book, The Mission of God, Christopher Wright shares, “It is not so much the case that God has a mission for his church in the world but that God has a church for his mission in the world. Mission was not made for the church; the church was made for mission—God’s mission.” This team—the Early Church—was completely committed to God’s mission. And that commitment should continue in us today!
