David’s son Solomon made his way on the scene. After an enormous show of honor to God, the Lord appeared to Solomon that night, asking him what he wanted. God said that He would give it to him! Of all things, Solomon asked for wisdom, and the Lord was pleased with this request. Solomon did not ask for riches or fame, but God gave him all these things as well because he chose wisdom.
