Our God is a God of details. The Bible tells us He delights in the details of our lives (Psalm 37:23). As such, we can be confident that He will be with us in each and every situation. Nothing catches Him by surprise. He not only cares for us in the big issues we face, but in the details too. We find this in the story of Elisha and the widow of Zarephath. This account occurs only a few chapters after Elisha’s former master, Elijah, was taken to heaven. Elisha has fully stepped into his prophetic role.
